PLEASE READ THE GUIDELINES NOTED BELOW BEFORE REGISTERING

Camps are non-refundable and can not be reduced for partial attendance.

Camp registrations are NON-REFUNDABLE and ONLY TRANSFERABLE TO YOUR IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS. Please only register for the camps your child can attend and which do not conflict with other summer plans you may have. Camp fees may not be prorated for any days of camp missed due to weather cancellations (see below for more information), homesickness, voluntary withdrawal, behavior challenges, illness or injury.

Due to the popularity of our camps, we will no longer provide a wait list.  Please recheck weekly for openings that may occur in previously sold out camps.

Age Appropriateness and Grouping Reminders

Camp Groups: Campers are divided into groups of similarly-aged children for the week's activities. Camp provides an excellent opportunity to make new friends in a fun-filled environment. If your child would like to be placed with one special friend, please name that child on the registration form.
We can place children with the requested friend only if both children request to be placed together, the children are close in age and space is available.

Age Appropriateness of Campers Registered: The age range per camp is clearly stated on the website and attached materials. Parents should pay close attention and review this before registering campers. For example, a child must be 5 and entering 1st grade to be registered for all day camps (9:30am - 3:00pm).
If a child of the wrong age is registered for a camp, you will be notified by our main office and we will try to accommodate you in another camp but we can not provide a refund.

Please call 321-6208 with questions.

Weather Conditions

For NatureCamps and Preschool Discovery Mornings in the Parks:
These camps are held completely outdoors in large neighborhood parks without indoor facilities that can accommodate large groups of children. If severe weather (thunderstorms and heavy rain) is predicted during the start or end of camp, a delayed start or early dismissal may occur. If severe weather is predicted for extended hours during camp, these camps may be canceled. Outdoor activities continue during a light rain. If a camp is canceled for the day, parents will be notified by email at least an hour before the starting time. No refund will be given for a canceled camp day.

For the camps occurring at California Woods, LaBoiteaux Woods and Trailside Nature Center, the buildings provide a safe haven during severe weather (thunderstorms and heavy rain). Camp activities will occur indoors until the severe weather has passed; outdoor activities continue during a light rain.

During heat alerts at all camps, hiking and other lively activities occur earlier in the day and quieter activities later.

Step 1: Summer Camp Selection and Registration

Please remember that several camps have repeated sessions and restrict the number of camps you can register for in that series:
- only 2 of the NatureCamps in the Parks
- only 1 of the Preschool Discovery Mornings in the Parks
- only 1 of the Preschool Camps, Nature Detectives Camps and Creek Weeks at California Woods
- only 1 of the Urban Safari Camps at Trailside Nature Center

CHANGES TO CAMP REGISTRATION: All requests for registration changes must be made by 9am on the Friday prior to the chosen camp.

HOW TO REGISTER: Please fill in all of the following to register for camp. Enter one child's info at a time. Fields that show an * are required fields that must be completed.  After you complete the first page of registration, you will be able to return here to add more children/camps in a single transaction. You will receive an email confirmation once registration is complete. There is a $3.00 administrative fee.

(Note: Please list only one child. We do not guarantee placement. We can place children with a requested friend only if both parents make the same requests and the children are close in age. However, if your registration is received near the start date of camp, we may not be able to accommodate your request.

Expectations of Campers

Campers should be able to:
● Stay with their assigned group with minimum reminders.
● Explore the natural world and move themselves along trails, over uneven ground, up and down hills, and across bridges and streams.
● Interact with their peers in group games and activities and maintain appropriate self-control in social situations.
Cincinnati Parks has a zero tolerance on drugs and violence. Parents with questions regarding the staffing needed to meet your child’s needs should contact us at 513-321-6208. We are happy to make reasonable accommodations with advanced notice.
